On November 25, 2019, Blendtec, LLC, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), recalled approximately 4.7 million Pro 800 and Designer 725 blenders sold by Costco, Target and Walmart.
The recall comes after the company received 37 reports of lacerations, including one consumer who received stitches and four consumers who required medical attention, and 37 reports of overheating incidents, including one minor kitchen fire, involving the blenders.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled blenders and contact Blendtec at 800-253-6383 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT Monday through Friday or online at www.blendtec.com and click on “Recalls” at the top of the page to receive a free repair kit and instructions.
