Mike Pence pushes a post-Trump path for conservatives and GOP

Former Vice President Mike Pence is encouraging a reimagining of conservative policies and values within the GOP, outside the shadow of former President Donald Trump. Pence has suggested looking past the tumultuous Trump years and returning to traditional conservative principles. His goal is to help the GOP win back power in the 2022 and 2024 elections, by focusing on a broad range of issues including free markets, deregulation, individual freedoms, limited government, and strong defense. Though Pence maintains a strong alliance with Trump, he is steering his post-Trump vision with a more unifying agenda in hopes to gather support from a wider spectrum of the GOP.
